Este filme conta a história de David Clark, um vendedor de droga, considerado um falhado pelos amigos.

Ele acaba por ser roubado, e fica com uma grande divida com o seu chefe, que lhe faz uma proposta para ele conseguir saldar a divida.

Para o ajudar a concretizar esse negócio, David pede ajuda a Kenny um vizinho, Rose uma stripper, e Casey uma sem abrigo, então decidem fingir ser uma família tipicamente americana.
