Este filme conta a história de Dan, um homem divorciado, que tem uma gravadora em parceria com um velho amigo.

Desde o seu divórcio que ele se vem a desleixar do trabalho, então o seu parceiro decide acabar a parceria e expulsá-lo.

Mais tarde Dan conhece Gretta, uma excelente compositora que também sabe cantar, e vê nela uma boa oportunidade de recuperar o seu trabalho, e a sua vida.
